![]() Is there something i am not seeing here? who is it that actually requires the metes and bounds survey, and why do they require it? these are the questions i need answered. when the time comes for full acceptance into the assembly, then presumably the survey will have to be done by then. Therefore, i surmise, the re-conveyance can probably be done, with only a standard boundary survey, because it is the assembly, as i understand it, which requires the metes and bounds survey, not the lands department, or the council, or the attorney general. Those who will correct the records will only need their own cataloguing systems, street numbers, lot no.s, and the like, in order to identify the land in question Īnd furthermore, they are more likely to be satisfied that the land in question has been properly surveyed and identified, if that surveying has been done by a member of their guilds according to their standards, rather than a metes and bounds survey, which is not for registration purposes, anyway, The metes and bounds is for recording, not registration I agree with muki, a rather excellent post denis, and i would like to add, i too am experiencing difficulties with this, rather exacerbated by the remoteness of north queensland, and my town in particular so i have reasoned as follows: That way it will assist us all in growing. This would be beneficial to both parties, That are wanting to have the metes and bounds done in the SE of Queensland. If we can get a surveyor that is helpful to our needs, he/she could be used by all. Is the use of a surveyor only used for credibility ?Ī suggestion- (We always need a written quote: Or an hourly rate “that is for our protection”. Is this a private thing between you and the surveyor? What are the appropriate questions – answers one must have ask or know? : On phoning a surveyor for a Metes and bound survey:Īs this is not a straight forward quest to ask a surveyor, unless he/she is a mind reader, I myself see a stumbling block – all to do with this “Metes and Bounds”, that obviously is Childs play to some, but to others – is confusing – I am no fool, and have been around for a long time, and retired, but this metes and bounds, has stumped me, and it seems the field it is in – is run by parasites asking big prices, due very little information as to what we should be asking for, and the reason we are asking for it, and what we are going to do with it: Therefore when one gets through, it is wise to share that knowledge, with others so others can get through, It would be folly to assume others should understand it and know what to do, for without the correct path – it is easy to get lost or off track Īs most of what we are embarking on is new to us, and it is not just one thing we are doing but many at once Just because we have no problems with what we do and how we do it, does not in any way mean others do: ![]() Knowing what to do, or what is required is half the battle of doing it, also giving instructions without directions, can create frustration, and despair, that can lead to loss of interest, or delays in completing tasks Maybe some on here can assist, as I am sure others will also benefit from this sharing:Īnd this should be “about all of us”, helping a sharing.
